GeoFrac2000 is a realistic landscape and terrain generation tool that will create and output heightfields, texture maps, 3D Polygon Meshes, and more. It's primary function is to create, sculpt and manipulate 2D heightfields using sophisticated techniques and algorithms, as well as manual modifications via grayscale painting.

GeoFrac2000 is NOT a rendering program, it is a landscape modeling program. In order to render the landscapes, you will need to export them to Rhino, 3DS Max and/or Terragen.

This product is currently being supported at this time and comes with a 30 day evaluation period. If you wish to continue using it after 30 days, you must register your copy.

It is highly recommended that you skim over this entire Web site to get a better understanding of all the features of the product, before downloading and evaluating it. There is a lot more to this product than meets the eye, and although it might not appear so, a significant level of effort has been made to create a very extensible architecture and interface.

Disclaimer

Currently GeoFrac is designed for people who use the Rhinoceros NURBS modeler, 3DS Max and/or Terragen, and probably will not be very useful to those who don't use any of these products. There are 3DS MAX plugins found on this site, that can be used to import the 3D terrain meshes generated by GeoFrac, into 3DS MAX. So if you're a MAX user, you might find GeoFrac2000 of some value.  Also, there is a new Terragen plugin that will export terrain data in Terragen's .TER format. If you do not use any of these applications, I do not recommend downloading this product in its current form, much less register for it, because it probably will not be very useful to you.
